A new tail cap design also allows the user to have both a "tactical tail cap" as well as a "click on/off tail cap" in one simple tail cap. This .85" diameter version (as opposed to the 1") is not intended for gun mounting purposes although it can be used on guns. It's designed for the professional who prefers a handheld unit.
